Ms May boasts a wide variety of clients including David Beckham and has seen her quiet influence of the Duchess soar since she moved to the country two years ago. According the Mail on Sunday, the pair were introduced by Markus Anderson, who works at Soho House. Ms May was seen at Meghan’s wedding to Prince Harry last year.
She sat in the second row, in front of the likes of Meghan’s celebrity friends Serena Williams, Oprah Winfrey and the Clooneys.
A source told the paper: “Izzy is one of Meghan’s dearest and closest friends and she values her friendship so very much.
“Izzy keeps their relationship really quiet and very much under the radar.”
They added: “The time they spend together is private.
“She helped Meghan adjust to life in London when she moved here from Canada. Meghan relied on her a lot.
“They are just like any two young female friends.
“They totally support one another and enjoy lots of social activities together.”
Ms May was educated at Sussex University.
She studied history before joining PR agency Freuds in 2001.
In 2011 she was appointed head of communications for Burberry.
Ms May will also play a key role in helping Beckham launch his US football team in Miami next year.
Beckham and wife Victoria were both also present at Meghan’s wedding.
