The new mother is thought to be at home in Windsor with her new son who was born on Monday, May 6 when the cute picture was taken. The Duchess posted the picture with the background of stunning purple forget-me-nots flowers, which are the favourite flowers of Princess Diana. Prince Harry also picked forget-me-nots for his wedding bouquet in memory of Diana.
The Duchess of Sussex said in her Instagram message: “Paying tribute to all mothers today – past, present, mothers-to-be, and those lose but forever remembered.
“We honour an celebrate each and every one of you.
“Today is Mother’s Day in the United States, Canada, Australia, New Zealand, South Africa, Kenya, Japan, and several countries across Europe.
“This is the first Mother’s Day for the Duchess of Sussex.”
The Instagram account then shared a quote “my mother was my first country; the first place I ever lived”.
