The unidentified flying object (UFO) was photographed in the skies over Springdale, Ohio, in the US. UFOlogist Scott C Waring, who found the bizarre photos o the Mutual UFO Network (MUFON), republished the photos on his own blog UFO Sightings Daily. The supposed UFO pictures show a rectangular or diamond-like object floating in the distance over some trees. In Mr Waring’s estimate, the flying object is larger than a car but moved slowly across the skies.
The UFO-hunter said: “This report just in from MUFON. A person was driving along the road in Springdale when he noticed a black diamond UFO off in the distance.
“The UFO is far behind the power lines, although it appears to be touching them. It’s actually very far away.
“This UFO is bigger than a car and doesn’t rotate or turn in any way.
“The UFO does move very slowly as if it’s watching, scanning for something below on the ground.”
Mr Waring has now said of the latest UFO sighting: “Kind of amazing this guy caught the UFO so well.
“Looks like he stuck the camera out his car window when recording. You can hear the car radio playing.
“This alien craft is the same exact colour as many of the alien buildings I have found on the moon in NASA photos.”
UFO enthusiasts who discredit Mr Waring’s work online, often cite the psychological effects of pareidolia as an explanation for his discoveries.
Pareidolia is an unusual trick of the mind, which causes people to see faces, shapes and patterns where they do not exist.
UFO-hunters who make claims of alien spaceships and faces on the Moon or Mars, often misinterpret perfectly normal photographs of shadows and rocks.
US space agency NASA explained: “Pareidolia is the psychological phenomenon where people see recognisable shapes in clouds, rock formations, or otherwise unrelated objects or data.
“There are many examples of this phenomenon on Earth and in space.”
