It’s hard to believe it’s almost here. After months of teasing and endless rumours and reports, fans will finally get their first proper look at the final film in the Skywalker saga. And it’s going to happen today. In just a few hours, Lucasfilm and Disney will present the first official Star Wars 9 footage during the Epsiode IX Panel at Star Wars Celebration. We have the time and how to watch it live for you here.
What time is the trailer or footage being shown?
Star Wars fans need to set their clocks at different times, depending on where in the US or UK they are.
The Episode IX hour-long panel starts at 11 am local time in Chicago.
Chicago actually falls under Central Time, which has a six-hour difference with the UK, meaning the Star Wars panel kicks off at 5pm in the UK.
For American fans in other time zones, 11am in Chicago is 10am Pacific Time, noon Mountain Time and 1pm Eastern Standard Time.
How to watch the Star Wars 9 panel live
There are two easy options for live-streaming the events at Star Wars Celebration 2019.
It is most likely the trailer or footage will be shown at the end of the panel, the same as The Last Jedi first-look premiered in 2017.
So far the only people confirmed for the panel are Kathleen Kennedy and JJ Abrams but most of the main stars of Episode IX will also attend. Fans should also expect a rapturous reception for Billy Dee Williams making his return as Lando Calrissian.
There are also rumours Hayden Christensen mght take the stage, since he is already at Celebration.
Whether or not Lucasfilm also reveals the closely-guarded title of Star Wars 9 also remains to be seen.
