Nigel Farage: ‘Theresa May has gone to see the BOSS!’ Savage Brexit attack | Politics | News

The former-UKIP leader took to social media to mock the Prime Minister as she seeks another Brexit extension. He tweeted: “Mrs May goes to meet the boss.” Mrs May is in Berlin to ask Mrs Merkel to back her case for a delay to Brexit. She will then fly to Paris, where she faces the tougher task of winning the support of French President Emmanuel Macron, who has warned in recent days that an extension to the Article 50 withdrawal process is not guaranteed.

The visits came as the EU’s chief Brexit negotiator, Michel Barnier, said Brussels could amend the Political Declaration on future relations with the UK “within a few hours or days” to incorporate the customs union arrangement being discussed in cross-party talks between the Government and Labour.

But Mrs May’s latest mission has enraged Mr Farage who attacked Mrs May’s Brexit strategies and accused her of lying and being duplicitous.

Mr Farage is urged supporters to back his new Brexit party in next month’s European election and warned Mrs May Britons would use their votes to express their outrage at her failure to implement the UK’s departure from the EU.

He said: “Theresa May has had a chat with you from her sofa and told you that her deal couldn’t get through the House of Commons and said now there is a choice.

“We either have a deal or we don’t leave the European Union.

“So her plan is we are talking to the nice Mr Jeremy Corbyn to try and do a deal that will protect jobs and security and then we will get Brexit.

“It all sounds really rather wonderful doesn’t it, what she didn’t tell you was that her deal is actually a new European treaty, binding in international law.

“Of which we can’t leave – ever – unless the European Union says so.”

Mr Farage has confirmed he intends to represent his new party in the European elections.

He said: “I’ll be leading the Brexit Party into those European elections as it now looks certain they will happen.

“Am I happy about it? No I’m not – actually I’ve got many other things in my life I’d like to do, I thought we’d won the Brexit battle but I’m not going to after 25 years of endeavour watch British politicians roll us over.

“This is the fightback and they’re going to be very surprised by what they get.”
