While many are excited about the potential AI brings, such as helping bring in medical and technological advances, some are worried about its potentially limitless power. In fact, certain sectors of Christianity are claiming the Bible forewarned about AI, and believe it could be the Antichrist. One Bible passage some Christian conspiracy theorists are pointing to is Matthew 7:15, 21-23, which reads: “Beware of the false prophets, who come to you in sheep’s clothing, but inwardly are ravenous wolves.”
Another passage, 1 John 4:1, NKJV, said: “Beloved, do not believe every spirit, but test the spirits, whether they are of God; because many false prophets have gone out into the world.”
The fact AI will not “be flesh” and could masquerade as humans has some worried the Antichrist could take the form of advanced robots.
Apocalyptic predictor Pastor Mark Biltz, wrote in his new book Decoding the Antichrist and the End Times: What the Bible Says and What the Future Holds: “Have you ever wondered if it’s OK to have Alexa, Siri and other forms of AI in your home?
“We know that the Bible says great deception is coming, so what is a concerned believer to do? Life and history go through continually repeating cycles just as our seasons do.
“Because humanity is basically the same, these cycles repeat themselves with different characters and scenes.
“We can learn a lot about the end times when we understand these cycles, and it’s critical to understand the modus operandi of the Antichrist so you won’t be deceived.
“Humanity is desperately seeking someone with a strong hand to take the helm and bring about world peace.
“Some look for a strong leader who has the ability to compromise and appease every faction to stop all the madness.
“But what character traits are truly needed to navigate the strong currents of public opinion that shape the world we live in?
“I believe we are truly entering the final chapter on this world’s stage, and the curtain will soon be coming down or rolled away.”
