Peppa Pig, the beloved children’s TV character, will be coming to cinemas this month. After 15 long years of entertaining pre-schoolers, the character will return for her second cinema outing after 2017 hit Peppa Pig: My First Cinema Experience. However, this year the celebration comes with a special twist – the release of all-new episodes with the film. The full event is called Peppa Pig: Festival Of Fun and is a two-part festival celebration of Peppa Pig.
When is the Peppa Pig movie out?
The new Peppa Pig movie will be out in a few days on April 5.
Peppa’s latest outing will see the series’ original cast reunited, including Peppa voice actress Harley Bird, Morwenna Banks’ Mummy Pig and Richard Ridings’ Daddy Pig.
They will bring Peppa and her friends to life as she frolics in a muddy festival to celebrate 15 years on screen.
The official synopsis of the event reads: “Get ready for Peppa’s biggest celebration yet when the muddiest ever festival comes to cinema screens in 2019 to celebrate 15 years of Peppa Pig!
“Little piggies can look forward to 10 brand new episodes including a 2-part festival special, as well as exclusive new interactive entertainment featuring little ones singing and playing along with their favourite onscreen characters!
“Join the party with Peppa and George in their brand new adventures as they dance in the mud at a children’s festival, celebrate Grandpa Pig’s birthday at a restaurant for the first time, and take a trip to the cinema to see Super Potato’s big movie feature!
“The newest release from Peppa Pig: My First Cinema Experience offers a whole hour of snorts and giggles, with songs to sing along to and games to join in with, it’s perfect for pre-schoolers and all the family to have fun with Peppa and all her friends!”
Peppa’s theatrical release will only be in UK cinemas, so those overseas are sadly missing out.
If you are based in the USA, however, you can catch the Peppa Pig live show, which is scheduled to take place next year.
Peppa Pig Live! has already enjoyed considerable popularity in the US, as one of the most successful family theatre tours in North American history.
This newest rendition – titled Peppa Pig’s Adventure – will visit more than 50 cities in the US, kicking off on September 6 this year in Massachusetts before a coast-to-coast run.
